Originating in the 5th century BC, intimately tied to the Jagannath cult and temple ritual storytelling.
Master Technique
Cloth canvas is treated with tamarind seed paste and chalk powder, polished with sea stone, painted with squirrel-hair brushes, and sealed with natural tree lacquer.
